为了编制一个欧美到处都是转基因食品的欺骗图景，农业官员等推手搞了许多造谣。其中中国农业科学院黄大昉前不久，就说过这样的话：“瑞典首次批准种植转基因优质淀粉马铃薯，这预示着欧盟对转基因长期保守的政策开始转变”。真实情况是什么呢？真实情况是，瑞典批准的作物并非为食品，而是为工业材料，此外，种植面积很小。就瑞典食品市场来说，自去年底开始，推行全国食品市场无转基因。

Amflora is used for industrial starch production, not food, and has been approved as safe for commercial production by the European Union. Most Swedish plantings will be for seeds for cultivation in 2012, BASF said. In September 2010, BASF said that Amflora had been mistakenly grown among unapproved GMOs undergoing research cultivation in Sweden.

而就欧洲来说，整个局面是转基因种植连续全面下降。就转基因玉米而言，种植数量微乎其微，如此、其食品供应数量之小就更不必说了：可以忽略不计。详见：

欧盟新发布的指南说明，其政策：[1] 推翻了“实质等同”原则；[2] 由各国自己决定转基因作物管理政策。即：黄某先生那说法是他自己杜撰伪造的，是官员对民众搞欺骗的恶劣行为。
世界上的事情就怕认真，如果我们认真起来，许多谎言就大白于天下。针对国内一些人口无遮掩的谎言，有网友近日就转基因问题，直接与欧盟官方写信咨询，得到了下面的信息。从欧盟主管部门的答复看，批准和上市是两码事，即批准并非意味着上市到食品市场，而且，相关作物处在到期重审和没定论的状态（如此，更不是上市到食品市场了）。
欧盟官方证据说明，国内那些转基因食品推手们（例如最近活跃的“松鼠会”成员），搞了欺骗撒谎：他们把批准和上市混为一谈，就如同《科学新闻》把种植面积比例当作食品结构比例一样、是十分荒唐的弄虚作假。进一步说，他们给了欧盟批准转基因作物的列单，却没给列单具体项目条款，而那具体条款恰好是提供了某作物是否上市到食品市场的关键信息。譬如，他们给了批准列单：
好象很多，然而，挑选其中颇为有名的MON810：
里面有两款项目：
* Conditions or restrictions on the placing on the market：Not applicable。
* Post-market monitoring requirements：Not appropriate。
该网友就此询问欧盟主管部门。他们的答复说明批准和上市食品市场是两回事。对比一看，就看到“松鼠会”成员等等那些推手的说法是搞欺骗撒谎。

The statement regarding the restrictions as "not applicable" has two meanings in the case of such GM event:
1) the product was authorised for food and feed and cultivation purposes and no restriction measure was applied at that time before the entry into force of Regulation 1829/20032)
2) the product is now under the renewal procedure following the mandatory requirements as set up under Articles 8 and 20 of Regulation 1829/2003 and therefore restrictions measures cannot be considered because a final decision has not been taken so far by the Commission.
